Primary
Arabic, Islamic, Moral, Social and Culture Studies

From FS1, our children learn the Arabic language to enhance the national identity, Emirati culture and positive values. They gain a deeper understanding of grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as diverse vocabulary, empowering them with greater confidence using the Arabic language suitable for both Arab and non-Arab students. The Arabic language among students is also introduced to the values that underpin Islam – these include being kind, honest, respectful and responsible. In the lower years the curriculum addresses numerous areas of a child’s development. Short Surahs, Hadeeth, Duaa, Nasheeds, sciences, development of personal attitudes, acknowledging environmental issues and developing social skills are all integrated in the Islamic Curriculum for Muslim students. Children are also introduced to Social Studies and Moral Education in Year One with more formal lessons beginning from Year Two upwards.

As a British Curriculum School in the UAE, we place significant importance on these subjects and look for opportunities to integrate them into our English National Curriculum where possible.
To engage all students, we hold many activities like educational trips, competitions throughout the year , eg: Quran recitation, Creative Writing, reading challenge, Poem Writing and more, ECAs and debates , all are a part of our journey to reinforce the importance and love of the Arabic language and the Islamic Studies.
